    Papua Medicine and Health Science (PMHS) is a national, open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing outstanding scientific articles to promote education, research, and professionalism in the field of medicine, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, surgery, sensory systems, neurology, psychiatry, biomedical science, community medicine, radiology, and dentistry. The health field includes midwifery, nursing, public health, environmental health, nutrition, and pharmacy. The journal places major consideration on health issues in Papua, such as stunting, tuberculosis, malaria, and other tropical infections. The philosophy of PMHS is to provide open access because the research network within the global research community must be transparent without boundaries, barriers, or discrimination. Its primary goal is to reflect multidisciplinary scientific research and collaboration among academics, educators, doctors, researchers, and the medical community. To ensure the relevance of manuscripts, maintain high quality, and guarantee a rigorous peer-review process, PMHS has an Editorial Board consisting of experts in their respective specialties. The editorial content includes Invited Editorials, Original Research Articles, Reviews, Case Reports & Short Communications, Special Articles, Medical Education Articles, Medical History Articles, Teaching Images, and Letters to the Editor. PMHS is published twice a year, in June and December.
